Island (Korean: 아일랜드) is a 2022 South Korean trang web series starring Kim Nam-gil, Lee Da-hee, Cha Eun-woo, and Sung Joon. Part 1 of the series premiered on TVING and Amazon Prime Video on December 30, 2022[8][9][10][11] and later aired on tvN on February 10, 2023, every Friday and Saturday at 22:10 (KST).[12] The Part 2 of the drama premiered on February 24, 2023.[13]

The first episode of Island was screened at the Rendez-vous (non-competition section) of the 2023 Cannes International Series Festival on April 19, 2023.[14][15]

Synopsis[edit]

Based on the graphic novel, which later published as a webtoon series on Naver Webtoon, the series was mix on Jeju Island where three people are fighting against evil that's trying to lớn destroy the world.

Production[edit]

Filming was scheduled to lớn start in October 2021.[1]

On December trăng tròn, 2021, it was reported that actress Lee Da-hee was injured while filming.[30] Later in the day, the actress's agency confirmed that she suffered a neck injury.[31]

On May 24, 2022, actor Cha Eun-woo posted a photo on SNS saying that his part had finished filming.[32]

Release[edit]

The series was originally made available for streaming through TVING and Amazon Prime Video.[33] On February 10, 2023, Part 1 was premiered on tvN.[12] The Part 2 was available to lớn stream on TVING from February 24.[13]
